I’m Brendan Clark, and today I’ll walk you through the process of creating a compelling profile on the employee app. If you’re an employee looking to attract the best businesses on the platform, you’re in the right place. In this article, I’ll guide you through each step to help you set up your perfect profile.

Step 1: Signing Up

To begin, click on the signup tab on the first page of the app. You’ll see two options: “I’m a business owner” and “I’m an employee.” Since you’re an employee, select the latter. Proceed by entering your email address and creating a secure password. Once done, click the arrow button to proceed. You’ll receive a verification email from us. Click on the verification link and enter your mobile phone number to receive a one-time password (OTP) for verification.

Step 2: Customizing Your Profile

After successfully completing the registration, it’s time to customize your profile. Click on the “Customize Profile” tab to begin. To add a profile picture, click on the plus tab and choose an image from your gallery. Add your name and date of birth, ensuring that your personal information remains private and secure.

Step 3: Writing an Engaging “About Me” Section

The “About Me” section is your chance to showcase your skills and experiences. If you have a current resume, CV, or profile on another platform, consider copying and pasting relevant information. This app is designed for the digital age, allowing you to easily update your work history and completed courses within your profile. Say goodbye to traditional paper CVs and PDFs!

Step 4: Uploading an Introductory Video

Exciting news! We have recently introduced a feature that allows you to upload a 32-second introductory video. You can either create a video in-app or upload one from your gallery. This video serves as a great way to make a strong first impression and highlight your personality.

Step 5: Specifying Your Job Preferences

To attract the right opportunities, let the app know what type of job you’re looking for. Whether you’re in retail, construction, or any other industry, select the relevant category. Narrow it down further by specifying subcategories, such as residential sales for real estate. You can also enter your preferred work location, the distance you’re willing to travel, years of experience, and your expected salary.

Step 6: Managing Employer Visibility

If you’re currently employed and don’t want your employer to know about your job search, this app has you covered. You can choose to hide your profile from your current employer by enabling the toggle provided. This ensures your job hunt remains confidential.

Step 7: Privacy and Display Settings

We respect your privacy. The app only displays your first name and suburb to businesses and other users. You can review and confirm these settings before proceeding.

Step 8: Connecting with Potential Employers

Congratulations! Your profile is now complete. You can view compatible businesses that match your preferences. If you come across a company you’re interested in, swipe right to connect. This action sends a request to the business, expressing your interest in their potential role. They’ll receive a notification and can respond accordingly.
